The Board for Standards in Financial Intelligence (BSFI) is an independent non-governmental body in Ireland established under Section 8(1) of the Central Bank Act 1942. Its mandate is contained in Section 9 of that Act and includes promoting best practices on behalf of regulated financial services providers. The BSFI publishes standards and guidance relating to governance, accounting and risk management. It provides education programmes to help companies meet their obligations under those standards, thereby assisting them to achieve compliance with regulatory requirements.
